Definition

The Three Colors were part of a color-coding system developed by Lone Pine MISnT to help lusers distinguish what equipment they were allowed to use. These colors are not commonly used in modern Kidsnet, but can still be seen on hardware and software that has survived from the early days of the Lone Pine network.

The Three Colors were:

  • Green: To be used by anyone, particularily patrons. "Green means Go"
  • Blue: To be used by staff; patrons should stay away in most cases. "Blue means Better Ask"
  • Red: To be used only by support people; typically seen on server consoles and the like. "Red means Stop"
